Safe Sport Program & Policy

The Handball Federation Singapore (HFS) is committed to promoting safe and responsible sports practices in Singapore. As an organization, we firmly believe in creating a safe and positive environment for all athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers.

We fully support the Safe Sport Singapore movement, which aims to prevent and address all forms of harassment, abuse, and discrimination in sports. We recognize the importance of creating a culture of safety and respect, and we are committed to upholding the values of integrity, fairness, and respect in all our activities.

To ensure the safety and well-being of our members, we have implemented a comprehensive Safe Sport Policy that outlines the steps we take to prevent, identify, and respond to any incidents of misconduct. This policy includes background checks for all staff and volunteers, training programs for coaches and officials, and clear reporting procedures for any incidents of misconduct.

We encourage all our members to speak up if they experience or witness any misconduct. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harassment, abuse, or discrimination, and we will take swift and appropriate action to address any such incidents.

We believe that promoting safe and responsible sports practices is essential to creating a positive and inclusive sporting community in Singapore. As such, we remain committed to upholding these values and promoting the safety and well-being of all our members.
